My story
Why Ascend exists.
I started ATS because I realised how impactful tutoring can be, but more so, how many people do not have access to it. Had I received one-on-one tutoring instead of taking extra math classes, I believe I would have pursued teaching chemistry as well as English.
My future pathways were limited because I could not grasp mathematical concepts the same way my peers did. I do not want students to feel restricted to only what they naturally gravitate toward. I want them to have the skills necessary to pursue the future they desire.
Beyond starting a more accessible tutoring service, I genuinely enjoy teaching and mentoring. I believe one of my major purposes in life is to guide others toward positive change. If I can influence the growth of many, collectively we can achieve something far greater.

We are a team of community-centred educators who strive to work with local organisations and families Ontario-wide to provide tutoring to learners of all backgrounds and abilities. We recognise that when a student is falling behind, it is often not their fault.
At ATS, we strive to provide the tailored education each student needs, to the point where they no longer need our assistance. From experience, we see consistent positive results when students receive one-on-one support. Beyond improving academic performance, what sets ATS apart is that we work with students, caregivers, and other stakeholders to promote emotional resilience and self-confidence.
